Her areas of expertise are in leadership and management development, the design and delivery of training programs, and executive coaching regarding the identification and resolution of intercultural issues in tech transfer, global team development, HR management/development, and the selection, preparation, and support of people on international assignments.
She has had long term assignments in France, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Iran, Turkey, and the United States, along with short term assignments in 38 other countries throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
Her international career includes positions as Program Manager in an aviation tech transfer project in Iran, Lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Vermont, Management Training Consultant for multinational corporations in various countries, and Director of Pacific Rim Services at Clarke Consulting Group, an intercultural consulting firm in California.
Additional examples of her professional work include providing: ongoing research, consulting, and training program design and delivery for the International Space Station US and International Partner Astronauts and support personnel; intercultural training and consulting to support a California bank’s first joint venture project with a Japanese bank; designing and delivering pre-departure training for 1500+US based expats assigned to work in 42 countries in APEC, EMEA, LATAM; leading a team in design of and TOT for a management training program used by a US MNC throughout China; and consulting and training for US manufacturing plant start-ups in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Currently based in the San Francisco Bay area, this trainer is a native speaker of English and also speaks Persian, Italian, French, Spanish and Malay/Indonesian with varying degrees of fluency. She holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Education and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Communication from the University of Vermont. In addition, she has a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from St. Michael’s College and has completed graduate work in international management and organizational development. She is the author of 2 books and editor of five.
